Blackbeard, whose real name is Marshall D. Teach, is one of the most dangerous pirates in the world of One Piece. Once a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, he betrayed his former crew to obtain the Yami Yami no Mi and later built the Blackbeard Pirates into a powerful force. He eventually acquired the Gura Gura no Mi as well, becoming the only known character to wield the powers of two Devil Fruits. Driven by ambition and an unwavering belief in fate, Blackbeard rose from an ordinary pirate crew member to one of the Four Emperors.
