Moana is the adventurous daughter of Chief Tui and the future leader of Motunui in Disney's Moana. Drawn to the ocean from childhood, she becomes a skilled wayfinder and sails beyond the reef when her island and its people face a growing threat. Guided by her ancestors and aided by the demigod Maui, Moana learns to trust her instincts while embracing her heritage and responsibility as a leader. Her courage, determination, compassion, and connection to the sea make her one of Disney's most distinctive modern heroines.
