Mammy Two Shoes is the human housekeeper who appears in several of the earliest Tom and Jerry theatrical shorts. She is typically portrayed as a stern but capable woman who tries to keep order in the household while Tom and Jerry create their usual chaos. Although she often becomes frustrated with Tom's behavior, she also relies on him to deal with household problems caused by Jerry. Her appearances helped establish the familiar domestic setting that shaped many of the series' classic early stories.
