Gerald Johanssen is Arnold Shortman's loyal best friend and one of the most prominent kids in Hillwood. Gerald is athletic, street-smart, confident, and often serves as the group's storyteller, sharing mysterious urban legends that inspire many of their adventures. Although he can be more skeptical and self-interested than Arnold, Gerald is deeply loyal to his friends and is usually willing to stand beside them when it matters. He is also known for his class-president role, basketball skills, and distinctive high-top hairstyle.
