Aladdin is a clever and adventurous young man from the streets of Agrabah who dreams of a better life. After discovering a magical lamp and befriending the Genie, he finds himself caught between his humble origins, his feelings for Princess Jasmine, and the schemes of the sorcerer Jafar. Although he initially relies on disguises and clever tricks to change his circumstances, Aladdin learns that honesty, courage, and being true to himself matter more than wealth or status. His journey from street thief to beloved hero and prince has made him one of Disney's most recognizable characters.
