Iroh is a former Fire Nation general and the older brother of Fire Lord Ozai. Once known as a formidable military commander, he changes profoundly after the death of his son and becomes a patient, compassionate mentor to his nephew Zuko. Iroh values wisdom, balance, friendship, and simple pleasures such as tea, while remaining an exceptionally skilled firebender. His journey ultimately transforms him from a potential conqueror into one of the world's most respected guides and defenders.
