📖 Biography

Venom (Eddie Brock) is the fusion of investigative journalist Eddie Brock and the alien Klyntar symbiote, creating one of Marvel's most powerful anti-heroes. After the symbiote was rejected by Spider-Man, it bonded with Brock, whose resentment toward Peter Parker forged the fearsome identity known as Venom. Though he began as one of Spider-Man's deadliest enemies, Venom gradually evolved into a protector willing to fight dangerous threats by his own brutal code. His unique bond with the sentient symbiote gives him extraordinary powers while constantly testing the balance between man and alien.

⚡ Fun Facts

  • 01 Venom first appeared in full in The Amazing Spider-Man #300 (1988), although the alien symbiote debuted earlier as Spider-Man's black suit.
  • 02 Before bonding with Eddie Brock, the symbiote's first human host was Spider-Man, which is why Venom possesses many of Spider-Man's abilities.
  • 03 The Venom symbiote belongs to the alien Klyntar species, a race capable of bonding with hosts across the universe.
  • 04 Venom eventually earned the nickname "Lethal Protector" after shifting from supervillain to anti-hero and defending innocent people.
  • 05 The symbiote has bonded with numerous hosts in Marvel Comics, including Flash Thompson, Mac Gargan, and Dylan Brock, but Eddie Brock remains its most iconic partner.
  • 06 Venom's most famous weaknesses are intense sound waves and extreme heat, both of which can disrupt the bond between host and symbiote.
