📖 Biography

Tamatoa is a gigantic, self-absorbed coconut crab who lives in the monster realm of Lalotai in Disney's Moana. Obsessed with shiny objects and desperate to appear impressive, he covers his enormous shell with gold, treasures, and rare artifacts collected over the years. His rivalry with Maui becomes especially important when Tamatoa acquires the demigod's magical fishhook and refuses to give it up. Beneath his flamboyant confidence, Tamatoa's vanity and insecurity make him one of Disney's most memorable comedic villains.
