Static Shock is Virgil Hawkins, a bright teenager from Dakota City whose life changes after exposure to a mutagen during the "Big Bang" incident grants him extraordinary electromagnetic powers. Choosing to become the superhero Static, he balances high school, family, and friendships while protecting his community from powerful metahuman threats. His intelligence, compassion, and quick sense of humor make him one of DC's most relatable young heroes. Over the years, Static has fought alongside legendary heroes such as Superman, Batman, and the Justice League while remaining dedicated to his hometown.
