Pete is a gruff, cat-like Disney character who has been a frequent rival and antagonist to Mickey Mouse and his friends for nearly a century. First appearing in the Alice Comedies in 1925, he later became one of Mickey's most recognizable adversaries. Although Pete is often selfish, boastful, and scheming, his exaggerated personality and comic misfortune make him a memorable part of Disney's classic character lineup.
