Peppermint Butler is a loyal servant of Princess Bubblegum and a longtime resident of the Candy Kingdom. Although he initially appears to be a cheerful and dependable butler, Peppermint Butler is secretly an accomplished practitioner of dark magic with unusual connections to the Land of the Dead and the Nightosphere. His occult knowledge makes him a surprisingly powerful ally when supernatural threats appear in Ooo. Despite his darker interests, his loyalty to Princess Bubblegum and the Candy Kingdom remains one of his defining traits.
