Eliza Thornberry is the adventurous 12-year-old protagonist of The Wild Thornberrys, traveling the world with her family while they make wildlife documentaries. After an encounter with an African shaman, she gains the secret ability to communicate with animals. Eliza uses her gift to understand wildlife and protect animals, although her curiosity and determination sometimes lead her into trouble. She is intelligent, compassionate, and fiercely devoted to her family and animal friends.
