📖 Biography
Sadness is the blue embodiment of melancholy living inside Riley Andersen’s mind alongside Joy, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. At first, Sadness struggles to understand her purpose and often worries that she makes Riley’s life harder, but she gradually discovers how important she is to Riley’s emotional well-being. Her empathy and willingness to acknowledge painful feelings help Riley process difficult experiences instead of simply hiding them. In Inside Out 2, Sadness has become more comfortable with her role and continues helping Riley navigate the challenges of growing up.
