Professor Ratigan is the brilliant and ruthless criminal mastermind at the heart of The Great Mouse Detective. Basil of Baker Street's arch-enemy, he schemes to overthrow Queen Moustoria and make himself the supreme ruler of London's mouse society. Proud, theatrical, and dangerously intelligent, Ratigan despises being called a rat and insists on presenting himself as a refined gentleman. His obsession with defeating Basil ultimately drives him into a dramatic confrontation atop Big Ben.
