Princess Bubblegum is the brilliant ruler of the Candy Kingdom and one of the central characters in Adventure Time. Born from the sentient Mother Gum after the Mushroom War, she combines extraordinary scientific knowledge with a strong sense of responsibility toward her kingdom and its people. Although she can be controlling and secretive, her decisions are usually driven by a desire to protect those around her. Over the course of the series, she becomes a more self-aware leader while deepening her relationships with characters such as Finn and Marceline.
