📖 Biography
King Louie is the charismatic ruler of the jungle's Bandar-log and one of the most memorable characters created for Disney's The Jungle Book. Unlike many characters in the film, King Louie was not part of Rudyard Kipling's original Mowgli stories; he was created specifically for Disney's 1967 animated adaptation. He kidnaps Mowgli in hopes of learning the secret of man's "red flower," believing fire will allow him to become more like a human. Beneath his scheming side, King Louie is energetic, confident, musical, and famously fond of swinging, dancing, and having a good time.
