Flounder is a bright yellow-and-blue tropical fish and Ariel's devoted best friend in Disney's The Little Mermaid. Although he is easily frightened and often panics when danger appears, Flounder never hesitates to stand by Ariel when she truly needs him. He shares her curiosity about the human world and frequently joins her on adventures beneath and beyond the sea. His loyalty, kindness, and surprising courage have made him one of Ariel's most beloved companions.
