Doug Funnie is a thoughtful, imaginative boy who moves to the quirky town of Bluffington and tries to find his place among friends, schoolmates, and everyday challenges. He often records his experiences in his journal and escapes into elaborate fantasies, especially as his superhero alter ego Quailman. Although Doug can be shy and insecure, his kindness, creativity, and strong sense of right and wrong repeatedly help him overcome difficult situations. His adventures center on friendship, growing up, and learning to be comfortable with who he is.
