CJ (Carl Johnson) is the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, a former Grove Street Families member who returns to Los Santos after his mother's murder. Forced back into the dangerous world of gangs, corruption, and betrayal, he fights to protect his family and rebuild his neighborhood's influence. As the story expands across San Andreas, CJ grows from a streetwise gang member into a highly capable criminal entrepreneur and leader.
