📖 Biography
Chief is an experienced hunting dog who belongs to Amos Slade in Disney's The Fox and the Hound. As the older of Slade's dogs, he initially treats young Copper with annoyance but gradually becomes a mentor and father figure to him. Chief is fiercely loyal to his owner and deeply committed to the hunting life, putting him at odds with Tod. Despite his gruff personality, his affection for Copper reveals a softer and more protective side.
