Kraven the Hunter (Sergei Kravinoff) is one of Spider-Man's most iconic adversaries and a world-famous big-game hunter obsessed with proving himself the greatest hunter alive. Born into a Russian aristocratic family, he honed his body and mind to near-superhuman levels through intense training and mystical herbal potions. His fixation on defeating Spider-Man has driven many of Marvel's most memorable storylines, including the acclaimed Kraven's Last Hunt. Despite his ruthless methods, Kraven follows a personal code of honor and respects worthy opponents.
